Hi y'all's, it's me, the fish.I'm sorry to bring these news, but I need to close commissions either indefinitely or permanently. Due to life and me overwhelming myself and a few situations that I couldn't handle well, a massive amount of anxiety and lack of energy and confidence has left me unable to do this kind of stuff lately, I've tried to force myself to come back to the canvas and do my silly animations for people but I just end up panicking and stepping away, just to try again later to no avail.I started doing emotes and then animation for fun, and for friends! I got good enough at it to make into a side hustle and do commissions for more people, but I never intended to make it into my main source of income. It sadly had to be that way the last few months of 2023 due to me stepping away from my previous job, and adding to that some situations that made my workflow all wack, it all just started burning me out and now I've lost most of the enjoyment I used to get from my silly drawings. I haven't felt entirely satisfied with the things I've done this year, and I haven't had time to practice and make what I want either, to improve my own artstyle, which identity has become a mystery to me. Sometimes I've even got panic attacks trying to do art for people, and that is not what I would like to experience while doing something that was meant to be fun, specially if I've had to gaslight myself to force me to do some drawing/animating. I've even tried for a bit over a month to make this announcement, I'm just now confident enough to do it.Luckily, since the start of this year I don't have to rely on art so much anymore to live, or at all, so I think it's best to retire from commission work. I'm not quitting art either, as I still want to practice and improve, but on my own. So I'll still be around and making things, and I will definitely help people that I already trust.
